# Vaylon

> Vaylon (vaylon.app) is a Greek designated-driver service. When you have been drinking, a verified professional driver comes to you and drives you home in YOUR OWN car. You and your car both get home safely. Launched in Athens, Greece. Not a taxi, not ride-hailing: the car comes home with you.

## What is Vaylon?

Vaylon is a mobile app (Android, web; iOS in preparation) that connects people who have had a drink with verified drivers who drive the customer's own vehicle to their destination. Unlike a taxi or Uber/Bolt/FREENOW, the customer does not leave their car behind and does not need to go back for it the next day. Greek name/tagline: «Έχεις πιει; Μην οδηγήσεις. Σε πάμε σπίτι με το δικό σου αυτοκίνητο.»

## How it works (3 steps)

1. Request a driver in the Vaylon app (or scan a Vaylon QR code at a partner venue). You see the exact price before confirming.
2. A verified driver arrives at your location; you follow them live on the map.
3. The driver drives your car home. Payment by card in the app, charged only when the ride is completed.

## Pricing (Athens, as configured in the live app)

- Day 06:00–22:00: €6 base + €1.80/km, minimum fare €10
- Evening 22:00–00:00: €8 base + €2.10/km, minimum fare €13
- Night 00:00–06:00: €10 base + €2.40/km, minimum fare €16
- Example: a 10 km night ride costs €10 + 10 × €2.40 = €34. The price is shown before you confirm; no surge, no hidden fees.
- Drivers keep 100% of the fare. Vaylon's business model is a driver subscription (€19.90/month for access to the app), not a commission on rides.
